About me

by admin

I am a Research Fellow in higher education studies at Stellenbosch University (Cape Town, South Africa). I am also a Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Decision Making at Stellenbosch Business School (SBS). Current work includes projects examining the decolonisation of knowledge in South African universities, the impact of COVID-19 on the academic work of women scholars, and the application of complexity theory in higher education leadership.

I started my career in the performing arts, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the University of Cape Town (UCT), and was a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor for my master’s in music in 2002-2003. I graduated with an MBA from the SBS in 2012 and completed my doctoral coursework at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in 2015-2016, before graduating with a PhD from the Graduate School of Business at UCT.
